The Center for Environmental Economics promotes research in environmental economics and provides a community for scholars (faculty, graduate students, and others) interested in various topics on environmental economics. Institute for Global Conflict and Cooperation
The Institute for Global Conflict and Cooperation is a collaboration between Professor UC San Diego Department of Economics Professor Eli Berman and parterns at Princeton, Stanford, Yale, and UC Berkeley study economic and political development in conflict and post conflict settings. The Institute's agenda includes theoretical, empirical and field research on political violence, governance, and development in key locations around the world, including Afghanistan, Egypt, Iraq, Northern Ireland, Pakistan, the Phillipines, Uganda, the West Bank and Gaza. Institutional partners include the World Bank, the US Agency for International Development, and domestic governments.

San Diego Education Research Alliance (SanDERA)
The San Diego Education Research Alliance (SanDERA) at at UC San Diego conducts rigorous research and relevant research that contributes to the development of education policy and informs, supports, and sustains high-quality educational opportunities for all students in San Diego and beyond. SanDERA was established in 2000 as a partnership between UC San Diego Department of Economics and the San Diego Unified School District. on the economics of education.
