Doctoral Committee

The doctoral committee student’s dissertation committee and consists of five faculty members:
- three from the department (at least one must be tenure track)
- and two from outside the department (at least one must be tenure track)
The Committee chair becomes the dissertation advisor. The student and committee chairperson are responsible for determining and soliciting the committee members.
Reconstitution of committee members can be approved at a future date if a faculty member leaves the University or the student wants to add or change a committee member.
