Grades

University regulations require graduate students to maintain an average grade of B to remain in the program. If a student's GPA in the program falls below 3.0, the student is subject to dismissal after being put on probation. University policy does not permit students to repeat courses in which a C- or better was achieved.

All core and elective courses taken to fulfill program requirements must be taken for a letter grade unless otherwise specified in the Typical Program page table.

Advanced Econometrics Requirement

All students in the program are required to successfully complete a second year of econometrics courses: Econ 220D, 220E, and 220F. Successful completion means receiving at least a B+ in these three classes, or receiving at least a B and having a 3.5 average overall in these three classes.
