The Deparment of Economics follows UC San Diego's deadlines for adding, dropping, and wait-listing classes. Adding a class after the deadline is allowed only in exceptional cases such as a verified clerical error by a college or department.

Quarterly Timeline

Week 1	Classes begin
Week 2	Deadlines to: Add classes (this includes wait-listed classes) Apply for part-time status
Week 4	Deadlines to: Drop without a W grade Change grading option Change units in variable unit classes
Week 5	Monday: Enrollment start times available for new quarter Friday: Schedule of Classes for new quarter available
Week 6	Monday: Academic advising for next quarter begins Wednesday: Enrollment begins for next quarter.
Week 9	Deadline to drop without penalty of F grade
Week 11	Finals begin
