New course: Econ 173AL: Applied Finance Laboratory

Course Description:

Financial Markets and data to address real-world issues such as conducting market research, conducting discounted cash flow analyses, and applying the CAPM model to identify issues in investment management, and more. Numerous guest speakers will be used to illustrate the language used by professionals articulate economic and financial viewpoints. Presentation of student analyses both orally and in writing. The course is open to students who have completed Econ 173A. Prerequisite: Econ 173A. (Course is a two-unit lab. Please come in and speak with advisors about how to use this course toward major requirements.)
