  • Internship abroad for credit, experience, or pay

Global Seminars

What you need to do to study abroad

  1. Attend a First Steps meeting at the International Center
  2. Visit Programs Abroad
  3. Start your research in the Programs Abroad Library
  4. Meet with a Programs Abroad advisor
  5. Complete your Academic Planning Form
  6. Drop off your Academic Planning Form and the course descriptions with an Economics Advisor during drop in advising hours
  7. Allow 1-2 weeks for preview
  8. Visit your college advising office

Also, please be aware that there is a residency requirement for Department of Economics majors. To receive a bachelor of arts or bachelor of science degree from the Department of Economics, all students must pass with a C- (C minus) or better at least nine of the required upper-division courses (at least four units each) for the major, taken through the UC San Diego Department of Economics, while officially enrolled at UC San Diego, to satisfy the residency requirement.
