Climate Careers in Social Sciences - November 19, 2025

Meet local on and off campus organizations doing climate work and learn how you can get involved with their projects. The tabling fair is happening from 1-4 pm and the alumni career panel is from 2-3:30 pm. This event is hosted by the Climate Action Lab team.

Guest Lecture: Investment Banking in Practice - November 19, 2025

Gain insight into investment banking today and financial market developments, learn about career paths and day-to-day responsibilities in investment banking, and ask a senior industry leader during a Q&A. This session bridges theory and practice, while offering a networking opportunity.

We welcome all UC San Diego students interested in investment banking, finance, or related fields to attend. Space is limited. Attendance will be first‑come, first‑served, so arrive early.

About the speaker:
 Michael Ebert (Class of 2000) is Head of the Americas for UBS in New York. UBS is a multinational investment bank, global wealth manager and universal financial services company, headquartered in Switzerland. Michael previously served as the co-head of markets at Credit Suisse, until its merger with UBS. Prior to joining Credit Suisse, Michael lived and worked in London, where he traded equities derivatives among other roles. While at UC San Diego, Michael double majored in Economics and Political Science. He also earned a Master's degree from Bocconi University in Milan, Italy. He currently resides in New York.
