ECON 109T - Advanced Topics in Game Theory (2-Units)

Econ 109T will feature advanced topics in game theory. For each topic, students will review the relevant literature (including recent contributions), discuss the topic in class, and engage in technical research projects in a small-group format. This small-group format is an outstanding opportunity for you to get to know Professor Watson and for him to get to know you and your work.

Enrollment in Econ 109T will be determined by Professor Watson's review of your descriptive paragraph (noted below).

Econ 109T will be allowed to satisfy one (1) honors section, for those pursuing honors within the Department of Economics. Students will need to petition for this exception.

REVISED Application Process:

To save time and to make it easier for students, the application process for Econ 109T has now been streamlined. Instead of having to submit a detailed application, interested students should write a paragraph describing what kind of game-theory applications you are interested in, such as business, law, international relations, sports, political science, etc.

Submit your description, with your name and PID included, to econugadvisor@ucsd.edu

"ECON 109T Application" MUST be in the email subject line.

Deadline to apply: 4:00 pm on Tuesday, December 8, 2015

Notification Process

Students will be notified of their application status via the Virtual Advising Center (VAC) by Friday, December 11, 2015. You will not be able to enroll in ECON 109T unless you have been notified of your acceptance. Please note: there are a limited number of seats available in this course.
